Director Liang Shijie: The key to traditional Chinese medicine health preservation lies in cherishing life: a wisdom dialogue through the past and the present

In the long river of history, traditional Chinese medicine health preservation is like a clear spring, nourishing the body and mind of Chinese children, it is not only a medical system, but also a profound philosophy of life. The Ming Dynasty physician Wanquan, with his unique insights, left valuable health wisdom for future generations: "Those who are good at health preservation should know five losses: if you don't know how to protect yourself, you will lose one; If the disease is not treated early, the second loss will also be; If you don't choose a doctor, you will lose three things; Xijun medicine attack, four losses; If you don't believe in witches or doctors, you will lose five things. These five losses, like a mirror, reflect people's misunderstandings in health preservation and health management, reminding us to cherish life and start from the subtleties.

One mistake: I don't know how to protect myself, and the boat of life runs aground before it sails

In this fast-paced era, how many people rush to Vanity Fair and ignore the subtle cries of the body for help. The ancients said: "Healing cures the disease", emphasizing that prevention is better than cure. Modern life is stressful, irregular diet, and staying up late to work overtime has become the norm, these seemingly inconspicuous habits are quietly eroding the cornerstone of our health. Just like a white-collar worker who has been working overtime for a long time, he suddenly fainted one day, and when he woke up, he realized that his body had already issued a warning, but he didn't pay attention to it. Not knowing how to protect oneself is the greatest contempt for life and an early overdraft for a better life in the future.

Second loss: If the disease is not treated early, the minor illness will eventually become a stubborn disease

Many people often choose to ignore or delay when the disease first appears, thinking that "it will be over with a carry". As everyone knows, many major illnesses are delayed by minor illnesses. For example, if the early cancer signals can be detected and treated in time, the survival rate will be greatly improved. Wanquan's remark that "the disease is not cured early" is a profound warning to this phenomenon. A friend, who only had an occasional cough at first, did not seek medical attention in time due to busy work, and was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer six months later, which made people sigh. Therefore, in the face of physical discomfort, we should respond quickly as if we were dealing with an urgent letter, so as not to leave the disease a chance to take advantage of.

Three mistakes: treatment does not choose a doctor, and it is difficult to find a good cure under blind obedience

In today's information explosion, all kinds of health information are overwhelming, and it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. Some people rush to the doctor in a hurry, blindly follow the trend, and listen to all kinds of home remedies and secret recipes, but as a result, not only the condition does not improve, but the burden on the body increases. As the old saying goes, "There is a specialization in the arts", and the same is true for medicine. Choosing a professional and formal medical institution and doctor is an important guarantee on the road to recovery. A diabetic patient, who listened to the "miracle cure" on the Internet, stopped taking regular drugs, which led to the deterioration of his condition and almost died. You need to be cautious in choosing a doctor, and professionalism is the last word.

Four losses: happy drug attack, quick success and quick profit to hurt the body

Driven by the psychology of pursuing quick results, some people tend to use strong drugs, hoping to solve problems quickly through "strong drugs". However, TCM focuses on "yin and yang balance", and the treatment needs to be gradual and too much. Although Jun medicine can temporarily alleviate symptoms, it is often accompanied by large side effects and even destroys the body's own regulatory mechanism. For example, a patient who has been dependent on antibiotics for a long time will eventually lead to the imbalance of the microbiota in the body and a significant decrease in immunity. Patience and perseverance are the keys to health and healing.

Five losses: believing in witches and not doctors, and losing direction under superstition

Today, in the face of science, there are still people who, out of ignorance or fear, turn to feudal superstition and hope for supernatural powers such as witchcraft and fortune-telling to cure diseases. Not only does this waste valuable treatment time, but it can also have irreparable consequences by delaying the condition. An elderly man in a rural area, because he believed in the witch's "exorcism" theory, refused formal medical treatment, and eventually died of illness, leaving his family with endless grief. Breaking down superstitions and believing in science is the only way to health.

To sum up, the wisdom of TCM health preservation lies not only in the meticulous care of the body, but also in the deep reflection on the attitude towards life. We should bear in mind the precept of the "five failures", cherish life, start from daily life, prevent diseases, seek medical treatment in a timely manner, choose professional doctors, use drugs rationally, and resolutely break down superstitions. In this era full of challenges and opportunities, let us steer the boat of life with a more rational and scientific attitude and sail to the other side of health and happiness. Remember, the key to health preservation in traditional Chinese medicine is to cherish one's life, which is not only responsible for oneself, but also a manifestation of responsibility for one's family and society.
