2、廉江地区拥有独特的石英砂红泥土壤，这种土壤深厚湿润、有机质含量高，非常适合红橙的生长，种出来的红橙果肉更加鲜艳，汁水更加丰富。
3、光照充足：廉江地区每年的光照时间超过1800小时，为红橙的光合作用和糖分积累提供了充足的能量。
4、昼夜温差大：廉江地区的昼夜温差高达10℃，这种温差有利于红橙的糖分积累和风味形成。
1. Lianjiang City is located in the northern part of Leizhou Peninsula, bordered by Beibu Gulf to the southwest, mountains to the northeast, and hilly areas in the central part. This geographical location and terrain conditions provide a unique environment for the growth of Lianjiang red oranges.

"1995年，廉江市被授予“中国红橙之乡”称号。

2004年9月20日，原国家质检总局批准对“廉江红橙”实施原产地域产品保护。
2020年5月20日，入选2020年第一批全国名特优新农产品名录。

外观shape：果实形状呈球形，大小均匀，果面洁净，果皮呈橙黄色，果肉橙红色，汁多化渣，甜酸适中。

四、如何挑选how to choose：
1、正宗的廉江红橙果皮略微粗糙，色泽鲜艳自然，细纹规则漂亮。如果表皮圆滑，外观很漂亮，可能是非廉江产区的橙子通过打蜡，来冒充的廉江红橙。
2、检查橙脐，廉江红橙的橙脐较小，如果橙脐大，多为杂交花粉后产生的半白橙或半红橙。
3、剥皮闻香气，廉江红橙的皮相对容易剥，皮不会很硬，刺破表皮后，正宗的廉江红橙会有浓郁持久的橙香味，而普通橙子则达不到这样的品质。
