汉语的“处于困境”可以用下面的in the hole, in trouble, in a tight corner和in difficulty来表示。
1.in the hole指“处于困境中，处于困难的境地”。比如：

2.in trouble“陷入麻烦”，指处于困境或面临问题，需要帮助或解决方案。比如：
