Danxia landforms are primarily composed of red sandstone, which, after long-term weathering, erosion, and water impact, has formed isolated peaks, steep and peculiar rocks, and rolling mountain ranges. These mountains are colorful, with dominant shades of red, white, and brown. The colors are somewhat dull, yet often take the shape of cones or columns, with unique forms that evoke a sense of solemn and desolate beauty. Under the sunlight, these Danxia landscapes shine brilliantly, burning like flames and blooming like a magnificent tapestry.
在张掖丹霞地貌中，平山湖丹霞是重要组成部分。这里以彩龙岭为代表的景观层级错落、疏密相生，色彩斑斓、规模宏大。数十公里逶迤起伏的山脉被染得火一样鲜红，富有鲜明的韵律感和生动的层次感。此外，这里还有宫殿式、窗棂状、立柱式等多种丹霞地貌形态，让人目不暇接。
In the Zhangye Danxia landforms, the Ping Shan Hu Danxia is an important component. This area, represented by the Cai Long Ridge, features landscapes that are layered, with varying density and spacing, in brilliant and grand colors. The mountain ranges, stretching for dozens of kilometers, are painted in bright red, resembling flames, and the scenery has a distinct sense of rhythm and dynamic layers. In addition, there are various Danxia landform shapes here, such as palace-like, lattice window-like, and columnar formations, offering a visual feast that is hard to take in all at once.
