新加坡南洋理工大学（Nanyang Technological University）将成立一个新学院，以深化该校在人工智能、计算机和数据科学方面的投资和努力。新成立的计算机与数据科学学院（College of Computing and Data Science）将作为一个平台，提供与行业相关的学位课程，培养学生不仅能够自如地掌握人工智能，而且能够流利地使用人工智能，还将加速南洋理工大学计算机与其他学科之间的跨学科合作。
计算机与数据科学学院通过独家大师班、一对一导师制以及在全球顶尖大学开展的交流计划，向学术界和产业界人工智能领域最优秀的人才学习。生成式人工智能实验室（Generative AI Lab）和计算机与社会研究所（Institute of Computing & Society）等项目将为学生提供机会，从跨学科合作中获益，并应对人工智能带来的社会挑战。
新学院的领导工作由副校长兼大学特聘教授Luke Ong负责，从5月1日起，这位杰出的计算机科学家将辞去目前的副校长（研究）职务，担任新设立的副校长（人工智能与数字经济）一职。在新的岗位上，Luke Ong教授将负责为南洋理工大学规划未来的计算机重塑发展道路。2月早些时候，南洋理工大学推出了一系列新的学术课程，以培养具有社会意识的人工智能人才，并开发以人为本的人工智能解决方案。
