Texas Red-X Wheat Germ Agglutinin ( Texas Red-X WGA ) is a fluorescently labeled lectin, which is conjugated by Wheat Germ Agglutinin ( WGA ) and Texas Red-X fluorescent dye. It can specifically bind to N-acetylglucosamine and sialic acid residues on the cell surface for cell membrane labeling, bacterial staining, nerve tracing and glycosylation studies.
Its fluorescence properties ( excitation wavelength 595 nm, emission wavelength 615 nm ) enable it to provide a bright and stable red fluorescence signal under a fluorescence microscope, which facilitates the observation and analysis of glycosylation structures in cells and tissues.
