Shanghai has introduced 13 new measures aimed at enhancing services for foreign nationals drawn to the city.

Announced at the Fourth Shanghai Talent+ Summit, these measures streamline procedures for acquiring visas, residence permits, permanent residency, work permits, and accessing financial services.

1.The age limit for category B foreign talents applying for a work permit has been extended to 70 years.

2.Eligible foreign graduates from key majors can now apply for a residence permit valid for up to 5 years.

2.符合条件的重点专业外籍毕业生现在可以申请有效期长达5年的居留许可。

3.The "Single Window" for both work permit and residence permit, previously exclusive to category A talents, is now available to all.

Previously, most foreign talents working in Shanghai had to visit two separate government departments.
