The collision between zigong flow and modern life

In the vast laws of the universe, as part of nature, human life activities are in harmony with the operation of heaven and earth at all times. The ancients said, "Heaven and man are one." This is not only a philosophical idea, but also the highest state of health. Among them, the theory of zi mu liuzhu, as a treasure of Chinese medicine wisdom, profoundly reveals the mystery of the changes of qi and blood in the human body with the passage of time, and points out a path to the tranquility of the mind.

Simply put, zǐ wǔ liú zhù refers to the regular flow of qi and blood in the twelve meridians of the human body, corresponding to the twelve hours of the day. Each hour has a specific meridian that governs the physiological functions of the body. For example, at the hour of the rooster (5:00-7:00 in the morning), the large intestine meridian is dominant, and at this time, the activity of the large intestine is at its peak, making it the best time for bowel movements and detoxification. Following the natural laws, defecating in the morning not only helps remove stagnation in the body, but also promotes metabolism, laying a solid foundation for vitality throughout the day. By noon (11:00-13:00), the heart meridian is strong, taking a short nap can not only relieve the fatigue of the morning, but also nourish the heart and mind, nourishing the mind and spirit.

However, when we look at modern people's lifestyles, it is not difficult to find that this ancient health rule of "rising with the sun and resting with the sun" has been seriously overturned. As the night falls, the lights are bright, and the hustle and bustle of the city does not quiet down with the setting of the sun. As the dawn breaks, people are still wandering in their dreams, missing the intimate contact with nature. This reversed day-night life pattern is undoubtedly a great challenge to the human body's biological rhythm.

Liang Shijie's research team believes that biological rhythm is a kind of time regulation mechanism in the human body, which regulates our sleep-wake cycle, body temperature fluctuations, hormone secretion and other physiological functions. Once the biological rhythm is disrupted, the various functions of the human body will be affected, the mind will be lost, restless, and even insomnia, forgetfulness, and a series of health problems will occur. As the ancients said, "If you go against it, disasters will arise; if you follow it, severe diseases will not occur."

Looking at modern life from the perspective of the meridian flow, it can be found that the root of many health problems lies in our disregard for natural laws. For example, long-term overwork and staying up late miss the opportunity to take a nap when the heart meridian is at its peak, leading to restlessness and low work efficiency; for example, rushing to get up in the morning and neglecting the opportunity to detoxify the large intestine during the first hour of the day, leading to constipation and skin problems over time.

In order to return to the way of nourishing the soul with the unity of heaven and man, we need to adjust our lifestyle and follow the rules of the meridians. For example, we should set reasonable working hours to ensure that we can wake up at the first hour of the day, defecate after a short morning exercise; in the noon, we can arrange a short period of rest, even if it is just closing our eyes to nourish the heart channel. In addition, we can also use methods such as dietary therapy, massage, and acupuncture to assist in regulating the meridians and qi, and achieve the purpose of nourishing life.

For example, a young person who has been working in IT for a long time, due to the pressure of work, often stays up late and works overtime, which leads to a serious disorder of the biological clock, and he often feels restless and has low work efficiency. Later, he listened to the advice of traditional Chinese medicine, began to adjust his schedule, got up and defecated on time every day, and took a nap in the middle of the day. Within a month, his mental state improved significantly, and his work efficiency also increased significantly. This example vividly illustrates the importance of following natural laws for nourishing the spirit.

In short, Liang Shijie's scientific research team believes that the unity of heaven and man is the way to nourish the soul, and the theory of zi mu liuzhu provides us with valuable guidelines for health care. In the fast-paced modern life, let us not forget to return to nature and follow the rhythm of the operation of heaven and earth, so that the soul can truly be nourished and at peace in the embrace of nature. Only in this way can we maintain a peaceful and strong heart in this complex world and welcome every promising tomorrow.
