Water-Splashing Festival

1. It is a traditional festival for the Dai people in Yunnan Province.

泼水节是云南傣族人民的传统节日。

2. It is held during the sixth month of the Dai calendar.

傣族人民在傣族日历的六月份庆祝泼水节。

3. It lasts three or four days.

泼水节持续三到四天。

4. During the festival, the door of every house is decorated with multicolored pieces of paper.

5. All the villagers are dressed in their holiday clothing.

10. At night, music accompanied by drumbeats echoes throughout the villages.
