1. anything like有两个含义

1）.not……anything like一点也不，远不，完全不像（anything 是副词，like是介词）

The book wasn't anything like as good as her first one.

这本书远远不如她的处女作。

It's really not anything like as bad as it looks.

根本不像表面上看起来这么糟糕。

He isn't anything like my first boss.

他完全不像我的第一个老板。

She isn't anything like her mother. 她一点也不像她妈妈.

They are no longer anything like as fey and reserved as they once were

他们不再像从前那样羞怯矜持了。

It isn't anything like as cold as it was yesterday.

今天全然不像昨天那么冷。

2）.not……anything like像……的事（东西）（anything是代词，like是介词）

anything like也可以拥有疑问句。

I've never seen anything like it.我平生头一次见到这种事。

Did you ever hear anything like it?

你听到过这种事吗？

I've never tasted anything like it.

我从来没有吃过像这样的东西。

The food here doesn't taste anything like what we had in Chinatown.

这里的食物尝起来一点也不像我们在唐人街吃的东西。

Leonard was shaken to the core; he'd never seen or read anything like it.

伦纳德极为震惊；他从未看过或读过这样的东西。

The aircraft bumped along erratically without gathering anything like sufficient speed.

飞机忽上忽下，飞行很不平稳，根本未达到应有的速度。

2. like anything 猛烈地,拼命地，非常

相当于一个副词。其实汉语里也有这个类似的说法，

The thief ran like anything when he saw the policeman.

当那个小偷看见警察时，便拼命地跑。

I love you like anything.我非常爱你。

She works like anything when she’s interested.

她感兴趣时，工作干得非常起劲。
