第一段中的“全球生命支持系统”“生命”一词不用life，因为life多指动物类，不含植物。
“宝库”一词不用treasury，这个词多指“财政部；大量珍品；（城堡、教堂等的）宝库，珍藏室；国库，金库”，因此用treasure house更合适。
第二段中的“沿海大国”不能直译为coastal country，因为“沿海大国”指的是这个国家的海岸线长，所以，翻译成a major country with a long coastline为好。
