近年来，中南大学湘雅二医院心血管内科在临床和基础研究方面取得了可喜的成果。团队连续受邀在欧洲心脏病学会年会（ESC 2021）、美国心脏病学会年会（ACC 2023）的 Late-Breaking Clinical Trials专场作主旨报告。2023年团队牵头完成的中国原创H-REPLACE研究发表在国际顶级杂志JAMA Network open，并获评“2023年度中国心血管病学领域八大进展”之一、“中国之声 创新力量 ——中国原创优秀临床研究”。2024年初，团队有关CD4+T细胞LGMN参与高血压靶器官损伤及高血压患者心血管残余风险增加分子机制的相关研究，以原创研究发表于心血管领域顶级期刊Circulation Research第一期，并被杂志遴选为封面文章。
