In Zhuangzi, there is a person named Shi Chengqi who often praises Laozi and travels across mountains and rivers to visit him.
Seeing that I am not good-looking and my place of residence is also in a mess. Shi Chengqi said, "Others say you are a saint, but I think it's more like a mouse.".
Laozi glanced at him and then lowered his head to continue reading his own book, completely ignoring him.
Shi Chengqi has no choice but to leave.
The next day, Shi Chengqi felt that she had gone too far and came to apologize to me.
Who knew that Laozi said to him, "If I have the essence of achieving great success, what does it matter if you scold me as a pig, dog, or mouse? I am still me.".
What you say, what you say, cannot affect me, nor can it change me.
A person with a rich inner self lives in their own heart, not in the mouths of others.
