Now, firstly, let's talk about when to visit.

The best time to visit The Grand Canyon is March to May or September to November.

This is when the temperatures are cool, but the sights aren't as crowded.

If you can avoid visiting in June, July and August, then I would definitely recommend it.

Now let's talk about operating hours.

So there are two sides to the Grand Canyon, the North Rim and the South Rim.

Most people will visit the South Rim.

It is open all year twenty-four hours a day.

Now the North rim is only open for people who are staying overnight at the lodge.

So now let's talk about some tips on visiting the Grand Canyon.

First of all, if you do intend on sleeping at the Grand Canyon, make sure you reserve your hotel in advance if you wish to stay either in the North Rim Lodge or on the campground in the South Rim.

The South Rim is easier to get to, and therefore one of the busier areas.

So we mentioned before that you can stay in the lodges on the North Rim.

Now you might decide to self-drive to the Grand Canyon, which is probably the best way to see the canyons themselves, but keep your gas tank full when you're driving.

Use gas stations to fill up during your ride.

One way to save yourself time, especially in peak season, is to get yourself a prepaid Grand Canyon entrance fee card at the Visitor Center.

Because there are different parts of the park, it's really important you decide which parts you want to visit and make sure you know where to go.

Are you short on time?

If you are short on time and staying in Vegas, you can drive just two and a half hours to the West Rim.

It doesn't have as many iconic viewpoints, but it's definitely worth visiting, especially if you only have a few hours to visit.

And one last thing to know is there is an entrance fee for the Grand Canyon.
